![]() Before the new barrel, I could not have reliably put seven rounds of plain round ammo through it. Through it without a failure and think it is trustworthy now. I have put over three hundred rounds, including thirty rounds of Hydrashok 124 grn. I was intent on trading it in but wanted to try one more fix because I had read at KT blogs and sites that the new barrel cured lots of ills, it did. I paid for the new barrel and in fairness, KT may have given it free IF I was willing to wait the eight week estimated wait IF I returned it to them. Kinda scary if you have an old style one and don't test it much. The differences between my barrel (serial number indicates late 07 production even though bought new in March 09) and the one I bought were significant, to say the least. I cleaned, buffed, sanded and lubed it to death, without significant improvements UNTIL I purchased an new, latest type barrel. No matter how firm I held it, to the point of a stand, it produced FTEs from nearly every magazine and type of round. Mine was a headache of the constant type. ![]() It seems like a higher than normal percentage have had problems, some with dealing with the normal need to have a firm grip BUT many with real problems with the design or execution in real life. Well, I have said before, I wanted to love my PF9.
